Influenster is a product sampling service that delivers free products to its 7+ million members in exchange for honest reviews—text, images, and video. The participating brands expect a certain quality of user generated content (UGC), and Influenster saw an opportunity to educate its members on how to take a better photo or video. Remember, most Influenster members are not your typical "influencers" on social media. Most of them are everyday people (like you or I) who love testing products and sharing their experience with the Influenster community. That’s where the 3 C’s creative concept comes in.

Role: Developed The 3 C’s creative concept—including editorial content, social media concepts, how-to video concepts, and presented to project stakeholders to address the opportunity.


THE 3C’s

The 3C's creative concept is a simple and concise way of remembering the three most important aspects of taking quality photos and videos: ContextClarity, and Center of Attention

Clarity: Ensure your product in the photo or video is clear, in focus, and without added filters.

Context: Ensure the photo or video of your product is taken in its natural environment. So pics or videos of cookies in the kitchen, shampoo in the shower, etc. You get the idea.

Center of Attention: Ensure your product is the star in the photo or video—and not competing with other products in the frame.


THE results

The 3C’s campaign resulted in 31% increase in reviews and bumped the task completion rate among members to 80%.
